Snow Happy

Ahhh the "Snowpocalypse" strikes again!!! We got about 10 inches of snow this time, and it got us out of school for two days!! (too bad the snow came on a wednesday night, or we would've gotten more days off of school...you win some you lose some) Luckily I had my friend Alicia stay the night Wednesday night so I wasn't snowed in alone!! Yesterday, we walked over to our friend Chelsea's house for some sledding adventures (SOCHI 2014!) Here are a few of the awesome shots we got:

With all of the snow, and cold temperatures, my skin has been feeling the blues... (and by blues, I mean red zits all over... ugh) It's been a rough couple of days, and Alicia and I did some serious rehab for our skin... (wash, tone, mask, moisturize, oil, neosporin, repeat repeat repeat) My go to product to avoid dry skin when I'm trying to dry out ance??
I got this for Christmas in 2012 and I still have half a bottle of this stuff left!! It is so amazing. It's perfect for dry skin, oily skin, you name it. Besides the spotty breakouts I have right now, my skin feels as soft as ever. If you haven't tried this, I highly recommend it!
How have you spent your snow days? Happy Friday!

Sincerely,
Allyson xoxo

P.S. The movie "Frozen" could not have come out during a more perfect year...With all of the snow we've been having, and the popularity of the movie growing (rightfully so), I've seen so many "Let It Go" covers. This one, via The College Prepster, is AMAZING... (replay, replay, replay)

Update!!

Wow, it's been a long time since I've made a new blog post!! It seems like this month just flew by, and I never found time (or motivation) to sit down and write a post (mostly because I couldn't find anything interesting enough to blog about). So today, in the hopes of getting back into the routine of  blogging, I'm just going to give you all a little update of what's been going on the past two weeks! (told you it's been a long time)

1. On the weekend of the 18th I went to Ohio University for an interview with the Honors Tutorial Business College! I'll get letter this month saying whether or not I've been accepted, but I'm crossing my fingers. I really liked the program a lot and the people were awesome! (Ohio's campus is gorgeous, but it sure is cold and snowy in the winter!)
Here's what I wore to my interview!
Blazer: Forever21
Dress: Jcrew Factory
Black bow flats: H&M
Watch: Kate Spade
Pearl necklace: Jcrew
Pearl bracelets: Forever 21

2. The week follwing my interview we were supposed to have a four day week of half days at school for our midterms, but thanks to the snow-pocalypse we had the entire week off and our midterms were cancelled!!! This was probably the best thing that could've happened to my senior year, depsite the fact that two of my teachers still gave us our midterm as a test grade.

3. Unfortunately, during my unexpected second winter break, I came down with the flu (no, I never got my flu shot.. I was supposed to at the end of December, then I got sick with strep...UGH). I started feeling gross, strep-y symptoms on Wed the 22nd, and then I woke up friday morning feeling like I got hit by a truck. Went to the doctor, and low and behold, the flu!! I was quarrentined until the following monday, and (unfortunately) returned back to school on Tuesday the 28th.

4. 2 hour delay Wednesday the 29th? YES PLEASE!

5. In rolled the weekend! I was supposed to get my hair cut on the 25th, but becuase I was sick, it got rescheduled to yesterday! I didn't get much of a change, just some face framing layers in the front so that I can still have nice braids and buns. I love it though!

Hope you enjoyed this little monthly (read: two-week) round-up!
Sincerely,
Allyson xoxo
